This program is designed to introduce newcomers to the basic foundations of Historical European Swordsmanship. *Participants must be at least 18 years old* In this course, you will be able to identify the parts of the sword as well as the primary postures and hews (guards/cuts). Each student will also be introduced to martial concepts such as identifying the four openings, the parts of a fight or duel, and how to use the postures and cuts appropriately amongst them. Upon graduation of this class, students will be invited to participate in the Intermediate Sword Mechanics Class. Scheduling for this course is currently only available in 3 month increments held on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm. Students are encouraged to bring hydration and dress in athletic attire (historical period attire is encouraged but not required). Check your account profile drop-down for the student resources tab. There you will find the rules form as well as the liability waiver that must be completed and turned in no later than the start of your first class. All payments are non-refundable.
